If it had autoplay next file like air video does it would be 5 star. If I am listening to an album or watching a TV series I want it to be able to go to the next one automatically. Especially with an album. Also, needs the ability to adjust quality of video so it doesnt buffer so much.

I bought thinking I would only run one server on my home computer. Since I have apple and andriod devices, but this app isnt as full featured as air video. It works fine on an andriod platform. I think they can have a better ui.

I like it, but 5 stars if the software would allow you to stream WITHOUT transcoding. My library is already in the right format.

It keeps throwing me the error when I play a video. I never was able to get it to work. the error i get is "Emit: Sorry, selected media cannot be played right now!" the video actually plays in the back with this popup open, then when i push ok (which is the only option for this error pop-up), the video exits. i cant watch the video with this pop-up infront of the video. Im on ios 5.1.

Does everything you want. The only feature it needs is the ability to sort by newest videos at the topaz opposed to default alphabetical order.

HORRIBLE APP. SUPPORT(SUPPORT FORUM) IS A JOKE! THIS APP WAS POORLY WRITTEN AND DOES NOT DO WHAT IT WAS ADVERTISED TO DO......IF YOU LIKE TO WATCH BUFFERING WHEELS....THEN THIS IS THE APP FOR YOU! BUT IF YOU WANT TO STREAM MOVIES TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE---FIND ANOTHER APP!!......THE ONE STAR IM LEAVING IS FOR THE BUFFERING WHEEL...ITS THE ONLY THING IN THIS APP THAT WORKS!

The free version seems to work fine for streaming over the Local Network, however... There seems to be an Audio Synch issue. The full version (with ads removed) just seems to buffer a lot over the Local Network then plays back bits and pieces of the video with corrupted images. It still has the Audio Synch issue. Neither version seems capable of streaming over the Internet. The Re-encode feature is nice when it works but a bit pointless. The purpose of this App is to stream/play back other formats than mp4. The 2 things that are done properly on this App are the ability to Maintain Aspect Ratio and the ability to Stream MP3s. The PC end of this App seems way to resource intensive.

This app streams all my HD video from my server to my iPad and iPhone on LAN, remote WiFi and cellular Internet perfectly. The developers are great too. I suggested they add more resolutions and bitrate selections to the iOS app they they replied on the support page that it was planned and they finally added it to the app. Thanks guys!

Encodes whatever video in your media and downloads it directly to your device. No iTunes involved! Love it!

When using the encode function, it does not encode many/most subtitles. (Especially certain embedded ones). This can be annoying if I want to watch foreign language videos. In addition, I prefer to have cc or cc for the audio impaired on. Without good subtitle support, this app just does not do what I need. A few videos actually lose their audio when converting, but that is rare and as long as the subtitles work, not a big deal to me. Aside from that, this app works well. If only I could download without encoding first. Maybe Ill try to see if I can make it do that that later.

Needs to be updated with Multitasking. Exiting the app will loose the file and place you were.

As promised, I changed my review and rating. Much better since the update today...

It looks fine on a Samsung Galaxy 4, but on iPad it has a long way to go. Some things that would make this better than StreamToMe or in the same arena as Air Video: skin options or a more aesthetic UI, thumbnails, album artwork, better loading performance for larger iTunes libraries. The app fails to load, before it finishes. I usually have to hard close the app, disable wifi, then reconnect, then reopen the app, before my library finally appears. Even then not all songs load. An EQ setting or preset feature would take this app miles ahead of StreamToMe. One goody is the buffering time for this app is much better than StreamToMe. + StreamToMe hasnt updated in forever. Air Video HD: in the video dept, this app hasnt even begun to compete.

It is a very good app. The developers have done a great job! The only thing missing is play speed settings. Please consider adding it to next version. I really want to give 5 stars!

Have been using this for a few months. Its been great. Im going to be moving this hopefully to a raspberry pi as a low power option.

Only streams 2 seconds of video, freezes, streams another 2 seconds. Has not worked since updated to Mavericks. Developers have not responded or fixed. Update: still no updates for iOS or server software after major updates to OS X and iOS.

Excellent app, plays all my videos from my external hdd without a problem. When i am out of the house i can also view them using the remote server and it works perfectly. One of the best apps out there.
